It is the mantra so-called BIG SIX CHARACTERS OF BRIGHTNESS.
The meaning of the six syllables is great and vast.
The first is composed of three letters A, U and M.
These symbolize the body, speech and mind of a pure exalted Buddha.
In all cases, the Buddhas were beings like us and then the path became enlightened.
Purification of body, speech and mind
comes through the gradual abandonment of the impure states and their transformation into pure.
How is this accomplished? The path is indicated in the following four syllables.
Mani, meaning jewel, symbolizes the factors of method:
the altruistic intention to become enlightened, compassion, and love.
The two syllables, padme, meaning lotus, symbolize wisdom.
Just as a lotus grows in mud without getting dirty with the faults of,
wisdom is capable of putting you in a situation of non-
where otherwise there would be contradiction if you do not have wisdom.
Finally the indivisible unity of method and wisdom;
is symbolized by the final syllable, Hum,
which indicates indivisibility, one that can not be disturbed by anything.
A long yet brief explanation,
although there are things that do not need it as it has happened to me since I met him,
I feel good to share this.
